Denza is a joint venture established by BYD and Mercedes-Benz in 2010 and is headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China. Denza is committed to the development and production of new energy vehicles, and is the first brand in China to focus on new energy vehicles. Its brand is positioned as a "smart and safe new luxury car brand", aiming to create a new luxury total excellence travel experience for users.
In 2010, BYD signed a memorandum of understanding with Mercedes-Benz to formally establish Shenzhen BYD Daimler New Technology Co., LTD. The Denza brand launched its first concept car in 2012 and went on sale in 2014. In 2022, Denza launched several models, including the D9, N7 and N8, further consolidating its position in the new energy luxury vehicle market.
Denza's performance in the market has also gradually improved. In 2023, Denza's cumulative sales reached 127,800 units, of which Denza D9 accounted for more than 93% of the total sales. With BYD fully controlling Denza, the high-end brand with a 13-year history has shown strong competitiveness in the new energy vehicle market.
