Tesla is a company that designs and manufactures electric cars, energy storage systems, and renewable energy solutions that reduce the world’s dependence on fossil fuels.

Tesla is a multinational company in the field of electric vehicles and clean energy headquartered in Texas, USA. It was founded by Elon Musk in 2003 with him serving as the chairman. Musk took over as the CEO in 2008 and has been dedicated to the research and development as well as sales of electric vehicles, solar products, and energy storage equipment.

Tesla was established in 2003 and was initially founded by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning. After launching its first model, the Roadster sports car in 2008, the company went public on the Nasdaq in 2010 and released the Model S sedan in 2012, marking the company's first profit. Since then, Tesla has successively launched models such as Model X, Model 3, Model Y, Cybertruck, and Tesla Semi, and has established multiple factories worldwide.

As of 2024, Tesla has cumulatively produced over 6 million electric vehicles and announced in the news on January 3, 2025, that its cumulative sales in the Chinese market in 2024 increased by 8.8%. Tesla's market value reached a peak of 1.3 trillion US dollars in 2021, although it has declined since then, it remains one of the world's top automotive manufacturers by market value. Tesla has been selected for the Fortune Global 500 for several consecutive years and has been rated as one of the most innovative electric vehicle enterprises.
