In December 2025, Li Auto's overseas business expansion achieved another intensive breakthrough, officially announcing its entry into the markets of Egypt, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan. This is the fourth overseas market the brand has entered in just two months, following its expansion into Uzbekistan in October, marking the completion of its core market layout across Central Asia, the Caucasus, and Africa, and signifying that its globalization strategy has entered a stage of substantial implementation.
In this overseas expansion, Li Auto precisely matched market demands by simultaneously launching three main extended-range models: the L9, L7, and L6. Given that charging infrastructure in some overseas regions is still under development, the flexible 'fuel and electric' refueling model will effectively alleviate users' range anxiety. Meanwhile, the self-developed extended-range electric system and intelligent driving assistance system equipped in these models will provide local users with smart mobility solutions that combine a luxurious experience with the convenience of long-distance travel. Family users from Kazakhstan reported that the Li Auto L7's intelligent cockpit and comfortable interior are particularly well-suited for family use, and its smooth driving experience is also highly appreciated.
In terms of channel development, Li Auto has demonstrated efficient execution capabilities: the Baku retail center in Azerbaijan began operations on December 8, followed by the openings of retail centers in Almaty and Astana, Kazakhstan, on December 10 and 11, quickly completing the establishment of a core regional service network. The brand innovatively adopts a diversified approach with the parallel implementation of 'authorized dealer model, general agent model, and subsidiary operation model,' leveraging the mature resources of strong local partners to build a standardized, high-quality sales and after-sales service system. At the same time, overseas users will simultaneously enjoy official warranties, professional after-sales support, and continuous OTA technology upgrade services, ensuring a consistent global experience.
Ideal Auto's Head of International Business, Wu Zuomin, stated: 'The launch in these markets is an important step in our overseas development. We are not only focusing on entering new markets, but also providing a consistent user experience through strong local partnerships.' As the brand's first entry point into the Middle East and Africa, Egypt, with a population of over 110 million and a rapidly growing demand for mid-to-high-end vehicles, has become Ideal Auto's strategic hub for reaching the entire African region.
To support long-term global development, Li Auto has established R&D centers in Germany and the United States to enhance its technology adaptation capabilities. New products scheduled for launch in 2026 will consider overseas market regulatory compliance from the early stages of research and development. In the future, the brand will continue to deepen its global presence, leveraging the technological advantages and user-centric thinking of Chinese smart cars, steadily expanding into more overseas markets, and bringing high-value products and services to consumers worldwide.
