The Da Tang is positioned as a full-size flagship SUV, with exterior dimensions of 5,263 mm × 1,999 mm × 1,790 mm and a wheelbase of 3,130 mm, making it one of the largest full-size SUVs from any Chinese brand.
The design draws inspiration from architecture, nature, and humanity. The front fascia features the world’s longest production integrated daytime running light – the “Flying Eave at Dawn” light strip, spanning 2.41 meters and incorporating 396 LED bulbs. The closed grille is flanked by upward-sweeping matrix LED headlights connected by a chrome strip, delivering a bold and instantly recognizable presence.
The Da Tang is available in three exclusive two-tone color schemes – Chidi Red Silver, Sajin Rice Black, and Qianshan Cui Silver – along with five solid color options, each inspired by the aesthetics of China’s mountains and rivers.
The Da Tang is powered by BYD’s latest second-generation Blade Battery and built on a 1,000V high-voltage architecture. CLTC pure electric range is offered in three variants: 800 km, 850 km, and 950 km, with the 950 km version setting a new world record for longest range among full-size electric SUVs.
Powertrain options include rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The single-motor version delivers up to 300 kW (402 hp) to 370 kW, while the dual-motor AWD version produces a combined 585 kW, achieving 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h.
With BYD’s flash charging technology, the battery can charge from 10% to 97% in just 9 minutes, redefining the refueling experience for electric SUVs.
The Da Tang comes standard with DiSus-A dual-chamber air suspension and rear-wheel steering. The rear wheels can steer up to ±7 degrees, delivering a minimum turning radius of just 5.2 meters and enabling crab-walk mode, allowing this 5.2-meter full-size SUV to navigate narrow city streets with ease.
For intelligent driving, the Da Tang comes standard with roof-mounted LiDAR and BYD’s God’s Eye 5.0 advanced driver-assistance system, supporting urban NOA and highway navigation-assisted driving.
The Da Tang features China’s first “2+2+3” luxury seven-seat layout, with an industry-leading 89.3% space utilization and 6.34 square meters of interior floor space. The second-row center aisle measures 201 mm wide, allowing easy passage for adults.
The front row is equipped with dual zero-gravity seats, while the second row features dual zero-pressure aviation seats. All seats come standard with ventilation, heating, and 10-point massage functions. The second-row seatbacks recline up to 146°, paired with 70° electric leg rests for the ultimate zero-pressure seating posture.
The cabin features a triple-screen display system (digital instrument cluster + floating center screen + passenger entertainment screen) with HUD head-up display, complemented by a 2.53㎡ panoramic sunroof for an expansive view.
The vehicle is equipped with a French Devialet 7.1.4-channel 27-speaker audio system, transforming every journey into a concert hall experience. The center console incorporates a 6.9L refrigerated compartment with temperature control from -6°C to 50°C.
The launch of the Da Tang fills BYD’s product gap in the approximately 300,000-yuan D-segment flagship SUV market. The Da Tang is already being exported in bulk to overseas markets including Europe via BYD’s roll-on/roll-off fleet.
In April 2026, BYD’s overseas monthly sales exceeded 130,000 units, setting a new record. Core models including the Han and Tang are priced from €72,000 in Europe, continuing to sell strongly through overwhelming total cost of ownership advantages.
