The XPENG G9L is a full-size, five-seat luxury flagship SUV  Positioned as a "global large five-seat tech flagship", the G9L shares its core technical architecture with the larger six-seat GX and is engineered from the ground up for international markets.

Exterior Dimensions and Design

The G9L measures 5,120 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,782 mm in height, with a class-leading wheelbase of 3,100 mm. This represents a substantial 229 mm increase in length, 62 mm in width, and 102 mm in wheelbase over the outgoing G9. The design, led by former Ferrari Head of Exterior Design JuanMa López, features a fastback-inspired profile, a slim floating rear spoiler, and available 22-inch staggered-width wheels, while achieving a drag coefficient of just 0.238. The million-pixel AI digital projection headlights integrate with the second-generation VLA system and can detect objects from up to 600 meters away.

The EREV version pairs a 1.5T range extender with a 63.3 kWh LFP battery, offering 435 km of pure electric range under CLTC conditions and a combined range of 1,602 km, while running on 92-octane gasoline. Both powertrains are built on a full-domain 800V high-voltage platform with 5C ultra-fast charging capability, adding up to 450 km of range in just 9 minutes.

Intelligent Driving and Cabin Technology

The G9L is equipped with XPENG's second-generation Vision-Language-Action (VLA) system, with the upcoming 6.3.0 update delivering a 3.5x increase in model parameters and a 300% improvement in perception sensitivity. The Ultra trims feature three self-developed Turing AI chips delivering 2,250 TOPS of computing power, enabling select Robotaxi L4-level capabilities including autonomous pull-over, parking spot searching, and voice-commanded curb-side stopping. The cabin features a 17.3-inch central touchscreen, an 88-inch augmented reality head-up display, a 21.4-inch 3K rear entertainment screen, and a 33-speaker premium audio system. The world's first AI-powered adaptive seat system uses 91 pressure sensors to detect body type and automatically adjust support, accommodating 98% of global body types. Cargo capacity totals 1,152 liters, including a 230-liter underfloor storage compartment.

Flagship Chassis and Handling

All variants feature an intelligent flagship chassis with dual-chamber air suspension and rear-axle steer-by-wire, delivering a minimum turning radius of just 5.4 meters—comparable to a compact city car. The G9L also completed the fastest moose test in its class, demonstrating exceptional handling dynamics. The vehicle has undergone three years of testing across 26 countries and regions, with cumulative test mileage exceeding 6.74 million kilometers, and complies with more than 3,000 regulatory requirements across 64 countries and regions worldwide
